Just as our students vary immensely, so do our volunteers, who can be any age and come to volunteering with different skills and motivations. Many classes are held in the evenings to enable volunteers in employment or with other responsiblities to attend. Some teaching, such as IT skills, does not require the volunteer to take part in a regular course at all. Volunteers can take as many or as few classes as they wish.

All volunteers must undergo a CRB check, as they may be working with vulnerable people.
